your perfect sunglasses at lavue.ca
Once you've chosen sunglasses from our wide range of exclusive brands and the latest designer frames, there are several lens options available to you. Whether you choose corrective, adaptive or mirrored lenses, or one of our color tint choices, you'll always be safe in the sun with 100% UV protection.

Prescription
Most of the frames used for our sunglasses can be fitted with corrective lenses, even the very curved models that you think were impossible are now possible. So whether you're nearsighted, farsighted, or need lenses that let you see clearly no matter the distance, there's no reason to deprive yourself of sunglasses.
Prescription sun lenses include:
-
A scratch-resistant coating
-
Some lens supplements
-
Thin and light glasses
-
Adaptive lenses (adapt to brightness)
-
Lenses that fit a strong prescription
Polarized lenses
When scattered light from the sun encounters a horizontal surface, such as a road or water, much of that light is reflected, causing white glare which can reduce visibility and cause eye strain. Polarized lenses filter out these reflections and allow you to see more clearly in situations where glare can be a problem or even dangerous, such as when driving a car.
Polarized sun lenses include:
-
A scratch-resistant coating
-
Thin and light glasses

glasses solar mirror
As well as having a distinctive and fashionable style, our mirrored sun lenses dramatically reduce the amount of light that enters the eye, making them perfect for those who are sensitive to sunlight.
They also reduce glare from surfaces such as snow and ice. They are therefore particularly useful when you practice water sports or outdoor activities at high altitudes, such as skiing or snowboarding.
Mirrored sun lenses include:
-
A scratch-resistant coating
-
Thin and light glasses
Colored sunglasses
If you choose to add a colored tint to your lenses, we also recommend adding a UV coating which will protect your eyes from the sun; prolonged exposure to UV rays could eventually damage the retina and lead to cataracts.
A UV coating added to clear lenses can give you the same protection as sunglasses, without necessarily changing the color.
The advantages of colored sunglasses:
-
Personalization
-
Cosmetic tint of any color
-
Better scratch resistance
-
Easy to clean
-
Water and oil repellent

Adaptive lenses
Our adaptive lenses adapt automatically, depending on the level of natural light. Also, they allow you to see comfortably in all conditions, without having to change glasses. This makes them perfect for people with light-sensitive eyes or those with active lifestyles.
The advantages of adaptive lenses:
-
All-purpose tint that won't distort colors
-
Reduced sensation of glare
-
100% UV protection

uv protection
While moderate sun exposure can have health benefits, the dangers of excessive sun exposure are widely recognized. However, far fewer people know that overexposure to UV rays can damage their eyesight.
Make sure you're safe in the sun and protect your eyes by choosing sunglasses from our wide range. Our sunglasses all offer 100% UV protection.
Sunglasses can significantly reduce the risk of developing certain eye conditions that can result from UV exposure, including cataracts and macular degeneration.
YEAR-ROUND PROTECTION
UV rays are present even on cloudy days. It is therefore important to protect your eyes all year round and not only during the summer season.
BETTER PROTECTION
Make sure that any sunglasses you buy are 100% UVA and UVB protected and are CE UV400 rated.
DON'T LOOK AT THE SUN
Even when wearing sunglasses, never look directly at the sun, as this can cause permanent damage to the retina of your eye.
